Why pumps.
In 2015 the gap in the Indian borewell pump market wasn’t about technology — it was about service. Imported pumps had fragile sand seals that lasted one monsoon. Big-brand pumps came with sealed-for-life housings that no village rewinder could open. Rahul Singh started Jagdish Industries to make pumps in the opposite direction: PE-2 wound motors that any local rewinder can service, dismantleable bowls a pump shop can rebuild, and motor windings rated for the ±25% voltage swings that are reality in a north Indian village feeder.
Why Amritsar.
Amritsar isn’t accidental. The city sits on one of the deepest groundwater tables in north India — which means the pumps coming out of our workshop are tested against the same conditions our dealers face in Punjab, Haryana, western UP and Rajasthan. We share a freight corridor with Delhi-NCR for the rest of the country. Our principal place of business is registered at Akash Vihar, Sultanwind Canal Link Road, Sultanwind — the same single factory we have operated from since day one.

Jagdish Industries operates from a single plant at Akash Vihar, Sultanwind Canal Link Road, Sultanwind, Amritsar. Every pump on our catalogue is built here — not assembled from imported sub-assemblies, not white-labelled from a contract manufacturer. When you call the warranty desk, you reach the people who built the motor.
Designed in-house
V3, V4 and V6 borewell submersibles, single-phase Tullu and monoblock pumps, water-cooled rewindable motors, starters and control panels — all built under one roof.
PE-2 wound. Field-rewindable.
Our motors use PE-2 polyester-enamelled winding wire and are designed to be dismantled and rewound by any competent pump shop — no proprietary tools, no sealed housings.
Bench-tested before dispatch
Every pump-set leaves the workshop with a signed test card. Hi-pot tested, locked-rotor tested, performance-curve verified.
Made for Indian site conditions
±25% voltage swings, sand-laden water, hard mineral content, long-duty agricultural cycles — our build spec is sized for the realities our dealers see in the field.

PE-2 winding
Polyester-enamelled wire to IEC 60317-13 spec. Higher thermal class than basic enamelled wire, designed to survive monsoon-season duty cycles.
Hi-pot tested
Every motor is dielectric tested for insulation integrity before it leaves the bench. Test card signed by the technician and shipped with the pump.
Field-rewindable
No proprietary housings, no sealed-for-life motors. Any competent pump shop can open, service and rewind a Nickson motor.
Built for the Indian feeder
Designed for ±25% voltage swings, sand-laden water, and the long-duty agricultural cycles our dealers see in north Indian villages.
